Project/Mission Statement
New advancements in technology, particularly in AI and robotics, come with a slew of preconceived opinions originating from the time of science fiction. This causes us to put too much faith into what is essentially an incomplete science. My project will be a satire of the negative effects this faith can have in the form of a rogue chess robot. Through it, I want to explore how we place blame when accidents happen and recognize the impunity we grant the researchers and engineers who develop these new technologies while also revealing the human touch that influences them.
